MCE Achieves ISO 9001:2015 Quality

Melco Crown Entertainment Limited announced that it has become the first hotel operator in Macau to have been awarded the newest and the more rigorous version of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standard. MCE’s Food and Beverage Service Quality team recently received the ISO 9001:2015 certification from the British Standards Institution (BSI), which recognizes the Company’s ongoing pursuit of excellence in management and efforts to attain the highest international quality standards.

Mr. Kristoffer Luczak, Senior Vice President of Food and Beverage, Melco Crown Entertainment Limited, said: “MCE is delighted to once again be at the forefront of Macau’s hospitality industry by becoming the first hotel operator to earn the higher-level ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, which represents the Company’s constant efforts to enhance customer satisfaction and commitment to provide products and services of world-class and consistent quality. The certification demonstrates our Food and Beverage Service Quality team’s abilities to continuously provide support in creating a remarkable dining experience that is on par with international standards.”

Dr. Shuen Ka Hung, Director-General of the Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM), said, “CPTTM is glad to see that Melco Crown Entertainment has taken the lead in the local tourism and leisure industry by successfully attaining the ISO 9001:2015 certification for its food and beverage service. In order to enhance the overall standard of quality management in Macau, we hope that more local enterprises will implement the ISO management system standards or upgrade their management certification to the latest version.”

The ISO 9001:2015 accreditation is the latest addition to MCE’s overall list of ISO standards. Among them, the Company’s flagship property, City of Dreams was the first integrated resort in Macau to have achieved the ISO 14064 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Inventories and Verification certification; and MCE was also the first hotel-resort company in Macau to receive the ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Certification and Indoor Environmental Quality Certificate.

Aside from implementing a globally-recognized quality management system, MCE’s food and beverage teams at City of Dreams and Altira Macau have both received the Gold Award at the 2016 Quality Food Traceability Scheme, and also the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) food safety certification, indicating that the quality and reliability of the Company’s diverse dining offerings are second to none in Macau.
